Becoming the Male Lead of a Fanfic [Western Crossover]

He is a mutant born in a laboratory, a combat machine whose humanity has been almost completely erased. He was born with the dawn of the superhero era, and he will witness its rise to glory.

He struggles through pain and makes difficult choices. He gives everything he has in silence, where no one can see, then swallows every consequence and accusation, bearing all the curses and infamy. No one understands him. They only fear him. He is

He Bai: Hello, everyone. He's my new body.

Thanks to the author for this setup. It's a lot of pressure.

He Bai is a rare male superhero-comic fan who spends all year hanging around old [beep] sites, [beep] forums, and [beep] fanfiction sites. One day, he opens his eyes and finds himself waking up in an unfamiliar place.

As he wonders what's going on, something calling itself a System appears in his mind. "You are Hepa Wayne, Bruce Wayne's younger brother, and Dick Grayson and Jason Todd's older brother."

He Bai: ...

What kind of awful pun is that name?

...Wait, whose older brother and younger brother did you say I am?

The generations are all mixed up!

After comparing all the parallel worlds in his head to no avail, He Bai finally realizes he may have transmigrated into a fanfiction world.

He Bai: Fine. What's my mission?

System: Stay alive.

He Bai: ...

That mission sounds a little suspicious!

Tony: I think we should use machines to change the world.

He Bai: Promise me that if you still want your JARVIS, you won't go making Ultron.

Tony: ???

Captain: This man with the metal arm looks a little familiar...

He Bai rushes over and shakes him by the collar: That's your friend! Your best friend!!!

Captain: ??!!!

The Old Man: Jason is my favorite son.

He Bai: Listen to me. If you want to keep that rebellious bird, you'd better figure out how to kill the Joker as soon as possible

He Bai: ...

He Bai: Wait, the Joker is already dead?!

All in all, He Bai uses the plot knowledge he brought from his original world to act as a dog-headed strategist who occasionally offers advice. He's doted on and protected by his whole family and superheroes from all walks of life, and life couldn't be better. But after a while, he discovers that this body of his is nowhere near ordinary.

He Bai: ...

Now he understands why the System said his mission was to stay alive.

Though, as it happens, he seems to be impossible to kill.

Hooray (not).

Original protagonist, no CP. Everyone shares a heartfelt, socialist brotherly friendship (even so, if you want to ship them, the author won't stop you (and may even ship them too (no))).

Probably a slice-of-life story. Probably.

Theme: Hard work leads to a different kind of life
