The Delicate Beauty in the Apocalypse

Powerhouse, wickedly cool girl x delicate, frail, gentle older woman

-

One year into the apocalypse.

Zhan Hanlu has a terminal illness. Just before she dies, she becomes an Awakened.

But she's still delicate and frail, exactly the kind zombies love best: the kind who runs for two steps and trips over herself.

When Zhan Hanlu wakes up again, she finds someone lying on top of her chest.

Overcome with gratitude, Zhan Hanlu ignores the pain in her neck and asks, "Did you come to save me?"

The person suddenly looks up, lips smeared with scarlet blood.

At the sight, Zhan Hanlu faints again.
