Limited-Time Lover [Card Draw]

[One of three candidates for the next story]

Lin Yanlan woke up to discover she was a new card about to enter the gacha pool: an ultra-rare SSR!

Countless players were spending like crazy, all to pull her!

Yet

She was pulled by a famously useless owner.

Terrifyingly, this useless owner couldn't even afford to support herself.

Even worse, players discovered that the supposedly one-of-a-kind limited-time SSR was completely useless!

Lin Yanlan was so aggrieved that she clung to her useless owner's leg, sobbing.

Lin Yanlan cried buckets. "Master, I'm a little good-for-nothing."

Her master struck back, wiping out those people, then hugged the little good-for-nothing and comforted her. "Don't cry. Whatever they have, you'll have too."

Her master said, "You need food, clothes, and an education. We'll buy them all, and we'll get the most expensive ones."

Other players: "..."

Other players: "She's just an NPC designed to make us spend money, for crying out loud!!"

Before long, players who had scoffed at the limited SSR realized they might have missed out on a one-of-a-kind god-tier card!
