Wan Yue was a delicate, beautiful man. When he opened his eyes, he discovered that the System had dragged him into a terrifying infinite-flow game and imprisoned him among endless hospital wards.
He sprawled across the broken bed. So tired. So filthy. I don't want to live anymore.
But the scenario had already begun. A terrifying, injured ghost ambushed him and forced him into a contract, making him help it find a coffin.
In the ruined ward, beneath an array of talismans and incense ash, a handsome, chilling face gradually appeared. It was so sinister that he looked as if he had crawled out of hell, his black hair and black robes stirring in a wind that wasn't there.
A man and a ghost stared at each other in silence.
The terrifying thing wasn't that it was a ghost.
It was that the ghost was his ex-boyfriend.
Luckily, the Evil God had lost his memory and no longer recognized him.
Wan Yue breathed a sigh of relief. Trembling with fear, he searched for the coffin that would hold the ghost's ashes, following the terms of their contract so he could end it quickly and escape back to the real world before the Evil God caught up with him.
With the Evil God's power behind him, Wan Yue killed gods and Buddhas alike, pretending to be unstoppable and becoming the most terrifying beauty in the infinite-flow game.
First, he eliminated the mutated monsters. Then he kicked apart a scenario on the verge of collapse.
Wan Yue returned to the Evil God, still looking obedient and innocent, as if he knew nothing of the world.
That was until he found the coffin.
The coffin held all of his ex-boyfriend's memories, including every moment Wan Yue had loved him, lied to him, and mocked him.
Wan Yue put one foot on the railing. "Don't come any closer! If you do, I'll jump!"
The Evil God gripped him by the throat with one hand, a smile on his lips. He spoke slowly, word by word. "How could I bear to let you? My ex-boyfriend."
Reading guide:
1. The protagonist isn't that awful. There's a misunderstanding between him and the love interest that will be cleared up later. No angst.
2. The love interest has one body, not split fragments. The love interest is devoted and virtuous.
