[New novel: Radiant Sun, a radiation wasteland story. If you're interested, check out the author's profile!]
Ming Ci, an ordinary student about to start her freshman year of college, dies suddenly after staying up all night on her phone, only to transmigrate to a strange world plagued by constant war.
Even more unbelievably, this world seems to be closely connected to the memories she has lost...
With nothing to her name, Ming Ci meets a young woman named Mu You in prison. The other woman turns out to be an absolute powerhouse!
Ming Ci thinks she can lie flat and rely on Mu You, but during an interrogation, she accidentally reveals that she is a transmigrator, drawing the attention of every faction.
At the same time, her relationship with Mu You takes a sudden turn for the worse, and Ming Ci has no choice but to leave and find a place of her own.
But the web of conspiracy has already been woven, and her lost memories begin to resurface. Driven by fate, Ming Ci is forced to set out on a search for the truth.
An intensifying war, Mu You's past, lost memories, and the question of whether this world even exists...
In this world that may or may not be real, can Ming Ci escape unscathed after becoming embroiled in a struggle over competing interests?
"But do you know? Pure pacifism can't save us. As long as those people keep drinking our blood, justice and light will never come. Only the fury of countless people can devour every evil and give us true freedom and peace!"
It's a bit like a love story set against the backdrop of modern warfare, but the war itself isn't the main focus. It's more about people living under the shadow of war. The real centerpiece is political maneuvering, battles of wits, and people sabotaging and betraying one another.
The era is based mainly on the middle and later stages of the Cold War. The few battle scenes are all sieges, so there aren't any huge spectacles or modern high-tech weapons.
The relationship between the two develops rather slowly at first. This is a plot-driven novel, so the romance follows the plot. Their feelings begin to develop around the middle, but overall the plot is much more intense than the romance.
There will be some fantasy elements in the middle and later sections. They don't take up much space, and they aren't a cheat, but they are important to the plot. Please don't read if that's not your thing.
The outline and advance chapters are ready, so dive in without worry!
