As an administrator of small worlds, Bai Zhou's daily job was to patch up bugs and bluff his way through training newcomers in all sorts of small worlds.
Unexpectedly, during the year-end evaluation period, something went wrong in the apocalyptic wasteland world he was in charge of!
The protagonist of the small world had quit. The plot was in disarray, and the whole world was on the verge of collapse and destruction.
Bai Zhou: Damn it, my year-end bonus!
Bai Zhou rushed into the small world, bundled up its burned-out protagonist and dumped him at a mental health clinic. Then he gritted his teeth, disguised himself as the protagonist, and took over his role in the plot.
Bai Zhou: I won't let anyone stray from the plot!! (Fierce.jpg)
The evil pharmaceutical company was making its move.
Bai Zhou: It's not time for you to show up in the plot yet. Get lost!
The villain boss gave an evil grin.
Bai Zhou: The plot says the villain is supposed to be aloof. If you grin again, I'll kill you.
The mutated races attacked the base.
Bai Zhou: This part isn't in the plot. Anyone who dares touch the base, just try me.
With one man holding the fort, peace reigned everywhere. After years of pretending to be the protagonist, Bai Zhou had made a name for himself. The apocalypse was nearly over, and people everywhere idolized him.
Then Bai Zhou suddenly realized he'd picked up the wrong script. The evil company was supposed to appear, the villain had never been aloof, and the base had been destroyed long ago.
Bai Zhou: ...
Bai Zhou: Here's the thing, everyone. I need to let the company into the base now...
Everyone: Aaaaaah, our idol is always right! He must have his reasons!!
Bai Zhou: Villain, you can smile now.
The villain, frozen in place: I wouldn't dare.
Bai Zhou: What if I destroy the base...
Everyone: The base must have betrayed you! Our idol has it so rough, waaah!
Bai Zhou couldn't take it anymore: ...Actually, I'm not the real protagonist.
Everyone: What? Never mind, it doesn't matter. We'll support you either way!
Bai Zhou: ...
A beautiful, strong, adored-by-everyone shou who doesn't suffer needlessly
