After accidentally gaining the ability to read minds, the heroine discovers that her childhood friends, older acquaintances, mentors, and classmates all have two sides to them.

3. Other than relationships from the original works, there aren't any complicated romantic subplots. The heroine grows over the course of the story, works as Gin's partner, and there's plenty of scheming.

4. Gin's identity has some author-created details. He isn't really a member of the organization (the organization's boss knows all about it).
