Pei Suzhi, a high school student, got a cramp and nearly drowned during the National Youth Swimming Championships. In the blink of an eye, he became the youngest son of a village chief on an ancient island.
Well, life on the island was pretty enjoyable. Every month he went fishing at sea, surfed, raised fighting cocks, walked dogs, cleared fields for farming, and happily went to school. Life couldn't be better. Then an unknown disease arrived. First the dogs started eating people, and then people started eating people.
When he saw the hungry, green-eyed undead, he was stunned. Was this a historical version of Resident Evil?
Help, Mom, I want to go home! But going home was impossible, and with zombies about to kill him, Pei Suzhi brought out his golden finger: a pocket dimension for farming. He planted coriander, tomatoes, and giant corpse flowers in turn. Every fruit he grew earned him ten zombie heads. Pei Suzhi and his friends had no choice but to survive by fighting zombies and farming at the same time.
The bottom is Pei Suzhi, and the top is Xu Yuanzhou. There is a pocket-dimension golden finger, with a focus on farming. Daily life involves chopping up zombies, growing vegetables, cooking, building boats, and finding a way out. The story focuses on an ensemble cast.
Notes: Slow burn, everyday life, and a diary-like narrative. Thanks to the wonderful BS for the cover art.

Blurb: In the second month, grasses grow and orioles fly; willows brush the banks, intoxicated by the spring haze.
The boys of Bailu Academy finish class early and fly kites on the spring breeze.
Su Jingxuan accidentally snags and ruins Xie Chi's hat with his kite string. Flush with cash, he scatters gold leaves. "New classmate, I'll get you a new hat."
Xie Chi's eyes are deep and his smile icy. He grabs Su Jingxuan by the collar. "Fine. I could use a new servant, too."
Su Jingxuan suddenly flashes him a dazzling smile, then turns and yells, "Brothers, this guy's bullying me! I'm scared!"
Three handsome boys come running. Li Huaiting shouts, "You mess with my brother, and we'll chase you to the ends of the earth! Zhao Qian, Yu Fengchu, get him!" They charge in.
But the four troublemakers of Bailu Academy are utterly defeated, sprawled on the ground and groaning. At last, Su Jingxuan apologizes with teary, aggrieved eyes: "Let my brothers go, and I'll be your servant."
Later, as plums turn golden and apricots grow plump in the summer heat, cicadas sing in the Southern Garden.
Xie Chi carries a bowl of iced milk curds with sophora leaves over to Su Jingxuan, who turns away and ignores him.
Xie Chi's usually haughty face grows awkward. "Susu, don't be mad. I was wrong."
Su Jingxuan takes a big bite of an apricot and shoots him a sidelong glance. "That's weird. How could you be wrong? You can actually admit you're wrong? How come I didn't know you were wrong? What did you do wrong?"
Xie Chi: ...
Note: This is a historical school danmei novel. It follows a group of spirited boys through their lively, chaotic school days at Bailu Academy.
Everyday life told in a slow, diary-like style, with an ensemble cast and a focus on farming.
Character notes: Slightly adored by everyone; a mischievous, dramatic, sometimes sweet and sometimes salty bottom who struggles at school, Su Jingxuan.
A cold, dignified exterior; actually an arrogant, love-struck top who excels in school, Xie Chi.
Theme: In adversity, never give up or abandon one another. Cherish life and love living.
Wu Chunlei is really a thunderbolt. He and Pei Meisheng are not going to cause big trouble later, right?
To be honest, I didn't feel much emotion, it was like a political marriage.
Gong's family is really a mess.
Damn, it feels like the author didn't want to continue writing and just ended it hastily. I didn't expect that the zombies were not cleared until the extra chapter and he continued to fight the zombies. Then the emotional line started to show up, and the two began to show their feelings. It was too outrageous.
What? It's over like this!!!!
I just want to ask if Su Zhi is a silly and sweet persona?
Let me tell you, I also feel that the context of the writing is a bit confusing and I can't find the key points. It feels like I am following Shang Xingzhi's pace. I am exhausted every day, and nothing has been built. When can I start collecting food? If there is no food and grass reserves, no stable and safe living space, and you are running around following the enemy's pace, you will seem unsettled.
Now I can vaguely understand it, it turns out we are Plants vs. Zombies!
I came here after reading Zang Tian's story, and found out that this one should focus on zombies and machinations. When I saw this, Zang Tian was just a short cheat sheet, and the main plot was entirely about family affairs. Moreover, Gong was fighting with his brother, so his brother bombed the island where Shou's family was in order to kill Gong. Now that martial law was under martial law, Gong had to save his father. His father was also in a lot of trouble. Gong could see that the new zombies were conscious and most of the zombies were coming towards him, but he didn't say anything about solving the new hidden dangers. No matter how powerful he is, no matter how much he wants to protect people, HE will still make me feel sick.
I feel like I wrote pretty well at the beginning, and then it went downhill all the way. Obviously
