The Beloved Little Koi of a Powerful Family

The year Song Jinshu was born, a fortune-teller said he was a blessing sent from heaven.

Sure enough, Song's father, who had been plagued by illness for years, suddenly recovered. The Song family's business caught a tailwind and rapidly expanded, making them a prominent wealthy family.

Song Jinshu was born with a lucky-koi buff.

When he drew lots for roles in his sister's scripts, he always picked blockbuster hits.

When his brother fell ill and delayed a business trip because of him, he avoided a landslide at his destination.

But despite bringing good luck to his whole family, he had a weak immune system from childhood and remained sickly despite being carefully looked after.

As he approached adulthood with no sign of improvement, the fortune-teller from years ago was summoned from retirement. He claimed that the only way to break the curse was to find someone with an exceptionally strong fate to stay by his side.

Xiao Yufeng, the second young master of the Xiao Group, was quickly identified as the perfect candidate.

Xiao Yufeng was something of a legend himself.

His best-known feat was surviving a car crash that sent his car flying off a cliff and smashing to pieces. He climbed out of the bushes completely unharmed. The first call he made was not to emergency services, but to his insurance company.

The entire Song family agreed that this guy had an unbelievably strong fate. They were willing to put up with him being a spoiled playboy, too.

The Xiao Group was hard to get close to, so they had to arrange a chance encounter.

And so, impeccably dressed and beautiful, Song Jinshu waited in a shopping district where Xiao Yufeng often appeared.

Song Jinshu: Hey, handsome, are you here alone? ovo!

Xiao Yufeng: I'm a dog. Don't @ me.

Song Jinshu: ...

Xiao Yufeng was used to people trying to flirt with him and walked right past. In a careless moment, he bumped Song Jinshu's arm and knocked the ice cream off his cone.

The instant Song Jinshu frowned, a decorative light came loose in the wind and fell squarely on Young Master Xiao, sending him to the hospital.

Later, everyone in their circle heard that Second Young Master Xiao not only treated the frail young master of the Song family like a precious treasure, keeping him by his side wherever he went, but also got the entire Xiao Group to dote on him.

Their precious little lucky koi was off-limits to everyone else.
