I, the Demon Lord, Am Taking the Internet by Storm!

>> As an obscure web-novel author, Lin Sijin somehow manages to repeatedly hit every reader's trigger with every novel he writes. Readers want a sweet romance, so he gives them a devastating love story. Readers want face-slapping and a scumbag second male lead to take the top spot, so he redeems the first male lead and forces a happy ending. On the day his serialized novel, The Immortal Venerable Dumped Me After I Transmigrated into a Book, went on sale, the devoted second male lead he'd just killed off walked right out of the story. Jun Huai was an immensely powerful Demon Venerable in the novel, and he'd died saving the protagonist. After learning he was a character in a novel, the Demon Venerable, now bereft of his cultivation, narrowed his eyes. Jun Huai: Bring me back to life! Lin Sijin: No. The readers like seeing you dead. Jun Huai: ? As the story continued, readers demanded the Demon Venerable's resurrection in a flood of comments, since the protagonist was such a scumbag. Under pressure from all sides, Lin Sijin brought Jun Huai back to life. But Jun Huai didn't return to the world inside the book, and Lin Sijin's readership plummeted after his resurrection. Jun Huai: Could it be because your writing is bad and there's no satisfying payoff? Lin Sijin: Get lost! You only deserve to live in the free chapters. Jun Huai: Give me a golden finger. Lin Sijin: You'll die in the next chapter. At last, Lin Sijin found the secret to making money and promptly killed off the Demon Venerable again, leaving him utterly obliterated, body and soul. The story's stats shot up, and his royalties kept growing. Enjoying the thrill of getting rich, Lin Sijin settled into a comfortable life. He had the Demon Venerable dress up in custom-made outfits, filmed a bit of cosplay, and posted it on social media to promote his work. The post went viral overnight, and soon he was at the top of the website's charts, with print and film adaptations on the way. @Sijin My next novel, The Ultimate Demon Venerable, is coming soon. Please support it~ It's about how Jun Huai went from a fallen young master to a Demon Venerable. A spin-off with no CP. He dies in the first chapter. Jun Huai: ...? Jun Huai: Fine. I'll keep dying over and over to support you. Reader's guide: Cold on the outside, warm on the inside, devoted Demon Venerable gong x money-obsessed shou who only cares about getting rich A wild idea written without restraint. Both the prose and the logic have been killed off by an elementary schooler. Theme: Love is the light of the righteous path
