Liu Sheng Youyi, once a laid-back slacker and now a workaholic, stares blankly at his desk: Twenty-five years after I transmigrated, it turns out I'm the mom friend...
Twenty-five years ago, after just transmigrating into the world of Detective Conan, Liu Sheng Youyi immediately decided to lie flat.
He couldn't help it. He didn't want to, either, but his parents doted on him, he had a car and a house, and his family even owned a huge dojo in the expensive capital.
Youyi figured that as long as he stayed away from the key characters and main plot of the original manga, he could enjoy a peaceful, carefree retirement in this dangerous world for the rest of his life.
That is, until he discovered he was bound by pain empathy to Zero, the character with the highest injury rate among the manga's good guys. Not long afterward, his loving parents also died in a car accident, though there seemed to be more to their deaths than met the eye.
Unwilling to keep suffering the pain of getting beaten up from time to time, and determined to uncover the truth behind his parents' deaths and revive the family dojo, Liu Sheng Youyi took on the role of Zero's "guardian."
When Zero got bullied, Youyi chased the bullies away with a wooden sword.
When Zero got sick and felt awful, Youyi rushed around delivering medicine and cooking porridge.
When Zero got hurt, Youyi brought his own first-aid kit and cleaned and bandaged the wounds.
When Zero got moody in the middle of the night, Youyi stayed up late to be his sympathetic sounding board...
He guarded Zero all the way from elementary school to college, then through police academy and into the Public Security Bureau. In the end, he even followed Zero into the distillery as a fake liquor bottle.
At the police academy graduation ceremony, Youyi was confessed to by the person he had raised. "Even if there's something between us, it can only be a father-son bond!" He refused three times in a row.jpg
Youyi afterward: I take it all back.jpg
But after going undercover in the Black Organization, the two had less and less time together. Through one misunderstanding after another, they drifted apart until they finally broke up in a bitter split.
Then, on an ordinary weekend after the organization fell, Zero, claiming to be heartbroken, called Youyi out to help him recover.
Holding his chest, which kept aching on its own, Youyi asked helplessly, "What is it this time?"
Zero: "Let's get back together."
Youyi: "???" (eyes widened in shock)
Please note before reading:
1. There are lots of original headcanons, and the characters may be out of character.
2. The entire police academy group will be saved, and everyone survives.
3. Protagonist tops, 1v1, pairing with Zero.
4. Feel free to discuss it if you don't like the story, but please don't attack the author or the characters. Thank you so much.

1. Can an Ordinary Person Like Me Make It to the End in a Dangerous Manga World? [Anime Crossover]: A crossover with Onmyoji (based on Baku Yumemakura's original work), Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and other worlds. The protagonist tops, with the pairing decided in the bonus chapters. Follow a male protagonist who seems calm on the surface but is actually a sarcastic commentator as he saves the world (not).
2. I Just Want to Lie Flat in My Second Life [Anime Crossover]: A crossover with Jujutsu Kaisen and Mob Psycho 100, with the protagonist topping and the pairing being Master Reigen. Maybe it's a romance between two reliable, mature adults.
