A Heartbeat Without Delay

I'll save this for now. I promise I'll start it!

The distance from Beijing to Tibet is about 3,600 kilometers. Taking the train takes forty hours and thirty minutes. If there are no delays, you can reach Lhasa Station around noon on the third day.

Song Yun is a crew member on the Z21.

Mu Feng is a passenger on the Z21.

At first, they were five rows of seats apart.

Later, they were two campuses apart.

Then the distance became 3,600 kilometers,

and came to mean their lives, their dreams, and their health.

Trains run late. Meetings are delayed. Hearts take time to stir. And people sometimes part ways.

But, Song Yun, I still remember what you wrote in your essay that year:

Seeing it ten thousand times can't compare to one glance that lasts a lifetime.

But I still want to see you ten thousand times, and have that one glance that lasts a lifetime.

This is probably a railway story, and it won't be long. A man has a secret crush, and it's probably not a sweet romance.

No overpowered protagonist or golden finger, just a story about two ordinary people, one of whom carefully contrives their reunion.

The distances and train journey times mentioned in the first part of the blurb are based on China Railway 12306.
