[Qing Dynasty + Dream of the Red Chamber] Saving My Dad Again Today

Reborn as the only son of the Eighth Prince, Hongwang is the child of a famous loser in the historical struggle among the Nine Princes for the throne. What can he do? Looking at his father holding him and grinning foolishly, Hongwang, who never had a real father in his previous life, decides he might as well try to turn things around.

Soon, he realizes something is off.

The man standing beside his father, poking at him, is his Fourth Uncle, the legendary cold-faced Emperor Yongzheng!

His family lives next door to Emperor Yongzheng's.

When his father takes him to mooch a meal at Fourth Uncle's house, Hongwang watches the brothers getting along and feels deceived. How did his father and Fourth Uncle end up as mortal enemies, locked in a fight to the death?

Just as Hongwang resolves to keep an eye on his father, stay out of the succession struggle, and cling to Fourth Uncle's coattails,

Fourth Uncle returns from Jiangnan, where he went to investigate a case, with a little girl named Lin Daiyu.

As soon as Hongwang hears the news, he climbs over the wall into the neighboring yard.

That brat Hongli is asking for trouble, getting so close to her! Lin Daiyu is not someone you get to set your sights on!

Kangxi hears an amusing story: his fourth son has adopted a goddaughter in Jiangnan, and Hongwang, the sharp-tongued son of his eighth son, has suddenly learned to say nice things. He climbs over the wall into Prince Yong's residence every day to give the little girl gifts, and even fights with Hongli and Hongshi, the sons of his fourth son. Kangxi thinks the children are so lively.

Prince Yong, who has adopted a well-behaved daughter, is very displeased. He coldly tells his eighth brother to take his unruly child home. Yin Si can only smile apologetically. He can't control his son. How about you take him in, Fourth Brother?
