Yan Yunzhi, the crown princess of the Immortal Realm, violates the heavenly laws and punishes herself by erasing her memories and sealing her immortal powers before undergoing tribulation in the mortal world.
In her fifteenth year in the mortal world, the Yan family is wiped out overnight in a river of blood. The third daughter, Yan Yunzhi, vanishes without a trace, and all records of her disappear. With her family destroyed and no survivors, Yan Yunzhi flees in a wretched state, unwilling to accept her fate but with no other choice.

Heaven is on his side, and he sees her again.
But this time she's in a miserable state, no longer the lofty figure she once was. For reasons even he doesn't understand, Ji Fu makes her his immortal attendant.
He plans to keep her at his side so he can bully her, but gradually realizes he can't stand it when she looks at him with those clear eyes, all wronged and sorrowful.
So, without even noticing, he starts protecting her.
Back then, he never imagined that one day, when he saw the girl secretly crying behind his back, he would ask fiercely, "Do you think I'm dead?"
In the end, though, all he can do is sigh helplessly. "Yan Yunzhi, even if I were dead, I could still protect you. So why do you keep holding back around me?"
Fine. He gives in.

He smiles. "Because someone is called Yunzhi."
At first, the two characters in "Ji Fu" were simply a name. But after Yan Yunzhi came into his life, the "Fu" in "Ji Fu" became the "fu" in "brushing away the clouds over Yunzhi."
