Genshin Impact: Even an Otome Game NPC Wants to Be the Most Popular Character in the Gacha

Hupo Chuan Guangxi, an NPC from an otome game, transmigrated to the continent of Teyvat.

System 0617 told him a few things:

First, this was a real world.

Second, to survive, he had to become the most popular character in the gacha game set in another world and modeled after Teyvat.

Third, he had three chances to enter the gacha pool as a limited five-star character.

The most popular character in the gacha pool?

Hupo Chuan Guangxi, a former otome game NPC, was brimming with confidence. He'd observed and studied all sorts of popular male lead archetypes throughout his NPC career!

Hupo Chuan Guangxi: No problem, just trust me, System. I'll enter the gacha pool as a limited five-star character the first time.

Hupo Chuan Guangxi: I'm an expert at character design!

Armed with a romance-game template, Hupo Chuan Guangxi immediately suffered his first crushing setback.

Game forum.

[I have to say, Mihoyo did a decent job with the story this time...]

[:) They did great. Next time, don't. I'm a power-gamer, and I'm disgusted.]

[That's it? That's it? That's it, and he's a five-star?]

[I'm pulling for my personal preferences, I'm pulling for my personal preferences. I'm really not crying... I swear, I'm sobbing. I regretted pulling as soon as I was done. If I had a guarantee for Zhongli's rerun in the next banner, that would've been so much better.]

[I'm a new player, so please go easy on me. Guchuan is my first limited five-star. Should I really not build him?]

[Don't build him, run!!! Mihoyo has committed every possible evil, that's why!!!]

1. It should be a romance story where readers choose a favorite.

2. It might also be a plot-driven story.

3. Mihoyo may stab me in the back.

4. The protagonist's secret identities will probably draw inspiration from the myths of different countries.
