Verlaine Is Jealous of Himself Again

You're just an utterly ordinary person. [The main story is told in third person.]

Until, on your way to a convention while cosplaying Verlaine, you transmigrate to the scene of a showdown between Double Black and Rimbaud.

But that is only the beginning. By some strange twist of fate, you unleash a move exactly like Verlaine's, then transmigrate again with Rimbaud and a mysteriously shrunken Double Black.

You land in Beika Town, the domain of a grim reaper.

The good news: You find the lover you've been longing for.

The bad news: Rimbaud is actually in love with the character you're cosplaying, Verlaine.

The good news: As long as you don't give yourselves away, this world without supernatural abilities is perfectly safe for you.

The bad news: The two kids are a handful, and seem to be plotting something against the liquor company.

Though the situation is half good and half bad, you still wear a mask of anguish and willingly play the part of Verlaine, tormented by the knowledge that you're only a substitute.

What you don't know, however, is that you've been jealous of yourself all along.

And Rimbaud seems to have seen through everything from the start.

Theme: It's nothing more than deep devotion
