The Whole Entertainment Industry Wants to Be a Melon in My Gossip Garden

Gu Qingyun, a top-tier star of the 1990s, transmigrates one day into 2030, becoming an obscure celebrity so unpopular she’s practically fallen through the earth, with only single-digit followers on Weibo.

Gu Qingyun: I’ve worked hard for so many years. It’s time to take a break! [Lies flat]

System: You can’t lie flat, Host! Please complete the “A Brilliant New Star, the One and Only God” mission and become a top-tier star in this new world!

Gu Qingyun: But you’re just a gossip System. Aren’t you aiming a little high?

System: I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you! Turtle... I mean, Host, stop chanting!

And so, Gu Qingyun and her silly gossip System became top-tier stars in an unimaginable way.

Recently, some bizarre topics have been topping the trending list on Weibo, all posted by the obscure star Gu Someone:

After crying over their idols’ spectacular falls from grace, fans flocked to Gu Qingyun’s Weibo to find comfort (and watch the show):

“Wow, we knew you were obscure, but we had no idea you knew so much!”

“Qingqing, hurry up and reply! Who is it today?”

“A gossip lover has a gossip soul, and gossip lovers are superior! Come on, let’s see which unlucky person it is today. Ahem...”

“Fair to suspect our girl’s obscure because she knows too much and got pushed out!”

But if you gossip too much, sooner or later it’ll come back to bite you:
