[Western Crossover] Billy Still Hasn't Blown His Cover Today

Billy was adopted by a rich man from Gotham.

This should have been good news.

But when Billy's best friend Victor found out, his face changed dramatically. He stuffed ten gigabytes of news articles into Billy's hands in the middle of the night.

Billy opened them and took a look. Whoa, all ten gigabytes of news were about how much the rich man from Gotham liked little boys with black hair and blue eyes.

While their advisor was away, Victor sidled up to Billy and whispered with a mischievous wink, "Word is, he and our advisor have that kind of relationship, too."

Twelve-year-old Billy screamed, "Shut up! I don't want to know! Why is Solomon's wisdom being used for this?!"

After moving into his new home, Billy was on edge every day, terrified that he might accidentally get into an indescribable situation with his adoptive father one day.

Once he finally confirmed that his adoptive father really was a good person, he started worrying about his secret identity instead.

Batman noticed that Captain Marvel had been looking at him strangely lately, with pity mingled with sympathy, sympathy mingled with understanding, all arranged like a pie chart.

Batman, who had never managed to uncover Captain Marvel's secret identity, furrowed his brow.

Under Batman's disapproving gaze, Captain Marvel felt a chill run down his back.

He closed his eyes and tried to hypnotize himself: My adoptive father is the other guy's patron. I can't be afraid. I have to act like someone with a patron's backing!

In short, Bats and Billy are both covering up their secret identities so the other one won't uncover them!!!
