Being Human Is Way Too Hard! Meow!

[First-person blurb, third-person story] [Medium-length, about 200,000 words] Everyone thinks I'm a cat. A little white stray who got stuck in a car wheel by accident. In reality, I'm a monster. I'm the Nekomata from folklore, the one said to appear in cat form and devour children. But that's complete bullshit. Some adults use my name to scare kids, but I don't like eating children at all. There's no meat on them, and they don't taste good. Because of a hard-to-explain incident, I turned into an ordinary cat and got stuck in a car wheel. Let's just say it was a huge embarrassment for a monster. The person who rescued me was a man in a hoodie carrying a bass case. He took me home, and I went from stray cat to house cat. Well, if there's one difference, it's that I now have a human servant, whose cooking is absolutely fantastic and more than satisfies my picky palate. But my servant doesn't seem to see it that way. He's determined to turn me into a pretty, sweet-tempered, well-behaved cat. So I showed him that a monster's authority is sacred and inviolable~ He rubbed my head, and I scratched up the back of his hand with my teeth. He stroked my belly, and I scratched his arm. He tried to give me a bath, so I went parkouring around his house. He wasn't angry at all. Instead, he bought me even more expensive jerky and played beautiful music on his bass for me. I fell asleep in the softness of his eyes and brows, and heard him sigh, "Poor thing. You're so wary of humans. I'll take good care of you. We'll keep each other company from now on." Considering how devotedly he treated me, and the fact that he didn't have long to live, I decided to make sure he got hurt a little less. He had no defenses against me at all. He let me jump onto his bed and bathe with him, and even praised my soft fur, how good I smelled, and how well-behaved I was when I slept. But really, I just loved the way he smelled. Later, I turned into a woman in his arms. His eyes practically popped out of his head. >>> Reading Notes: 1.
