A massive virtual game about clearing stages. Is this a game, or reality?
In 2090, most of Earth had become slums. To escape the chaos of reality, people spent most of their time in the virtual reality game Perfect Life. The mysterious game creator didn't shut down the game on its anniversary, as the rumors claimed. Instead, they launched a new stage: upload your real-life experiences, and merge the game with reality. If you die in the game, you die for real. The last player standing wins the rights to the game.
Players flocked to join, ready to play a game where their lives were truly on the line.
Character introduction:
Tang Nian has dissociative identity disorder and three personalities.
The insecure, timid host personality: Tang Nian; the violent, bloodthirsty, antisocial alter: Jiang Lai; the optimistic, talkative, fatherly personality: Lin Kai.
The three share the body and divide their time equally, keeping their secrets while living in harmony.
Then one day, the fatherly personality disappeared, throwing everything into chaos and destroying their balance.
Before Lin Kai's attending physician and friend could even worry about whether the personality might disappear, one problem after another came knocking.
And it all began with the massive VR game Perfect Life, developed by Lin Kai.
The group joined forces and decided to investigate the game.
P.S. 1. I haven't decided yet which personality will remain in the end. That will depend on how the story unfolds and on reader feedback.
2. There won't be any melodramatic plot about the personalities fighting ruthlessly over the body. They're all trying their best to live.
Theme: I save myself again and again, steadfast as tough grass, never wavering.
