The No-Heart-Racing Game

For a bottle of discontinued perfume, perfumer Ning Sen decides to take part in the variety show The No-Heart-Pounding Game.

The show invites its contestants to live together for a month on an isolated island at sea. They complete various dating challenges, earn points, and compete for the island's grand prize.

Their central task is simple: don't fall for anyone.

[Reject someone's confession: +100 points]

Whether they have fallen for someone is measured by their heart rate, so there's no way to hide it.

No matter how sweet, heartwarming, or surprising a moment might be, they have to keep their feelings under control.

Ning Sen is famously aloof and untouchable. He is handsome, talented, and cold, and countless people have pursued him since he came of age, but he's never shown any interest in them.

Everyone thinks he's bound to win this game.

Yet in the final episode, they see him holding hands with another contestant and openly announcing their relationship. They become the show's only real couple.

While the others rack their brains trying to make their opponents fall for them, Ning Sen watches the wristband that tracks the score.

He hasn't done anything at all!

There must be something wrong with this thing.

The first time Ning Sen rejected Mu Xiao was in high school.

He had just realized that the person who had approached him and pursued him with intense, domineering affection when he was at his most helpless was only toying with him out of boredom.

He had mistaken someone for sunshine, while that person had treated him like a clown.

Ning Sen came to his senses and stopped trusting anyone's declarations of love so easily.

So he returned the carefully prepared love letter from Mu Xiao without even reading it.

Mu Xiao wouldn't give up, approaching him again and again.

Ning Sen rejected him again and again.

This time, they meet in a place where falling in love is forbidden.

At last, they fall in love.

[Reader's Note]

1. Mu Xiao x Ning Sen. Gentle yandere x untouchable beauty.

2. In high school, Ning Sen was briefly blinded by a scumbag's passion and fell for him, but that was all it was: they never dated.

3. Ning Sen already got his revenge on the scumbag in high school, and he'll do it again on the variety show.

4. But the main story is about romance, not getting revenge on scumbags.

Theme: Heal the wounds in your heart and be brave enough to welcome love.
