The male and female leads grow up together. The male lead is famous throughout the land from childhood and holds an official celestial position. The heroine has to wait until she comes of age and earns merit before she can be granted godhood.

Worldbuilding:

The world is divided into three realms: Heaven, Earth (the human world), and the Underworld.

Heaven is divided into the ancient and modern eras. Those who have come of age or have yet to attain godhood are in Modern Heaven, primarily under the jurisdiction of the Guanling Bureau, which manages the modern human world's novel System. The heroine starts out there.

After she becomes a goddess, she goes to Ancient Heaven, because people in the human world worshipped gods and Buddhas in those days, offering them incense.

All I know is: Far away, there is a lotus pond, where the lotus longs for the fragrance of pine smoke.
