Everyone Keeps Going Off-Plot [Quick Transmigration]

Lin Yu transmigrates into a book after binding himself to a System. He has to become the book’s vicious male supporting character and take the blame for the male lead or the antagonist.

The male lead or antagonist in the book is a vicious character hated by everyone. After being tormented too much, he turns evil and destroys the world.

Lin Yu’s job is to take the blame himself and stop the male lead from turning evil and destroying the world.

This is easy.

As long as he steps forward and takes the blame before the male lead or antagonist is falsely accused, the male lead won’t turn evil.

But Lin Yu never expected that once he stepped forward to take the blame, no one would follow the plot anymore.

[In the xianxia novel]

The senior disciple kills a fellow sect member who is actually a demon cultivator in disguise. He is wrongly accused of killing his fellow disciple, and no matter how much he explains, no one listens. In the end, he is punished.

When it’s Lin Yu’s turn, everything changes. It’s as if everyone has suddenly started using their brains.

“I don’t think Junior Brother did it.”

“I agree. I don’t think so either.”

“Of course Junior Brother didn’t do it. He’s so weak. How could he have been the one to do it?”

“Junior Brother spends all his time cultivating in his own residence. What reason would he have to hold a grudge against this person? He had no reason to kill him.”

Lin Yu: ?

No, there’s blood on his sword! Are you all blind?

Seeing that these people weren’t following the script, Lin Yu feared they would insist on pinning the whole thing on the senior disciple. So, right in front of everyone, he stabbed the demon cultivator himself.

He figured that would settle it.

But then

“Could this person be a demon cultivator? Why else would Junior Brother attack him?”

“He looks shifty. He doesn’t seem like a good person to me.”

“He even made Junior Brother deal with him. How inconsiderate. He deserved to die.”

Theme: If you’re eccentric enough, no one can out-eccentric you.
