I'm Really Not an Outlaw!

Ling Li was a good student.

Until...

He got into a graduate program in agronomy.

On the first day of grad school, he decided to make a run for it.

.

The first thing you need to do when making a run for it is find your next gig.

So Ling Li decided to try working as a freelance social media creator.

On his first day in the new line of work, he went viral.

Only, it was on an alien network.

.

From then on, Ling Li's new life meant going out into the fields every day to shoot content, posting flower photos and plant anatomy explainers, sharing little farming tips, and even cooking on camera.

For some reason, though his followers were all incredibly enthusiastic, they seemed to react only to the flower photos he posted.

And his top fan was an obsessed plant conservationist who mailed him an utterly ordinary violet Chinese violet from thousands of miles away, demanding that he keep it close and take meticulous care of it.

Ling Li: Fine, I'll cuddle it to sleep every night.

.

On the first day that Zi Xingbei, former God of War of the Plant Star Domain, took up the post of governor, an outlaw brazenly provoked him to his face, posting eighteen photos of violet Chinese violets in a row.

Zi Xingbei investigated through the night, but the deeper he dug, the more alarmed he became.

Bound by the Intergalactic Peace Accord, however, he could only go alone to that planet in the Animal Domain to gather evidence.

.

Only...

This outlaw is surprisingly good at caring for plants.

How does he know what I'm thinking?

Could he be in love with me?

Wait! Don't kiss my flower bud!!!

.

PS: A fake outlaw, an agronomy student on the bottom, and an alien plant cop on top. An anything-goes comedy. The author has a Schrodinger's supply of agronomy knowledge, and the top will passively flower and bear fruit.
