I Really Do Like You

[Blurb pending final polish] (For now, I've only changed the protagonist's name)

1. Cheng Zhiyang and Chen Che are both famous top students at Rong University, and equally famous as sworn enemies.

After they parted at a welcome party, Cheng Zhiyang went home and messaged Chen Che: "Do you like me?"

Chen Che: "?"

Chen Che: "If you're bored, leave campus and turn left to get your eyes checked."

Cheng Zhiyang: "Just admit it. You stared at me all afternoon today."

Chen Che's fingers paused over the keyboard as he recalled that afternoon's welcome party.

He'd been looking at the camera, for fuck's sake.

2. One day, word went around campus that Cheng Zhiyang, the beautiful top student, was about to start dating. She was walking laps around the sports field with a handsome guy.

Chen Che heard about it while frantically working on a paper at his computer.

His roommate glanced at him and teased, "Aren't you going to take a look? If she really starts dating, you'll be the only single guy left at school."

Chen Che waved him off. "What does her dating have to do with me?"

Half an hour later, Chen Che showed up at a bench by the sports field with his laptop, working on his paper while looking for someone.

3. Cheng Zhiyang always felt that Chen Che was secretly trying to distract her by being with her.

Chen Che: "I'm trying to distract you? I like you, that's all."

Cheng Zhiyang gritted her teeth. "No, you're doing it to make me lose focus so you can win the scholarship all by yourself."

Chen Che pulled her into his arms, his voice lazy. "If I'm with you, why would I need a scholarship?"
