After Being Reborn, I Tried to Raise a Child but Got Swept Off My Feet Instead (Redemption)

[Kindhearted Straight Man Bottom x World-Destroying Yandere Top]

--

As a rookie lawyer just starting out in the workplace, Chen Mu’s first independent case was the nationally shocking “Painted Skin Case,” in which all the victims were young, fair-skinned boys.

His client was the highly intelligent criminal suspect and virology expert, He Siyan.

·

When they first met, He Siyan saw how nervous and afraid Chen Mu was and said with a smile, “It has nothing to do with me. I don’t like men.”

Chen Mu never imagined that this would also be the last case of his life.

This man was a lunatic. Rather than saying he didn’t like men, it would be more accurate to say he didn’t like anyone at all, not even the whole world.

So he chose to have all of humanity perish with him.

·

After dying in the apocalypse, Chen Mu was reborn at the age of twelve, four years after He Siyan’s father had been arrested, when little He Siyan was four years old.

·

Entering the dilapidated courtyard, Chen Mu found the future architect of the apocalypse crouched on the ground, his little face filthy as he watched ants moving house.

Chen Mu asked him, “Are you willing to trust me? Will you come with me?”

·

The child’s face was blank, like a dirty rag doll.

Unable to speak or listen, and knowing nothing of love or hate, this was the four-year-old apocalypse-maker.

·

Later, when He Siyan was eighteen, Chen Mu said he would introduce him to a girlfriend.

He Siyan smiled as he pressed a finger against Chen Mu’s Adam’s apple, violence surging in his eyes. “Are you trying to make me die?”

Chen Mu: “Uh... didn’t you say you don’t like men?”

·

He Siyan: “But I like you...”
