Drowning in Moonlight

Sang Mi's love for Xia Shiyu was painfully humble.

So humble that even knowing she was a replacement, knowing that all of Xia Shiyu's tenderness and patience toward her were only because she resembled the girl in her heart, and knowing Xia Shiyu might never have liked her even a little, she still stayed faithfully by her side.

Even if it meant being nothing more than a substitute...

Because, a very long time ago,

Xia Shiyu had once been a beam of moonlight outside her window, illuminating her bleak, colorless youth.

Sang Mi had always held on to an unrealistic hope, wishing that one day she might warm Xia Shiyu's cold, unyielding heart.

Sadly, even by the time Xia Shiyu's moonlight returned, Sang Mi still hadn't managed to warm her heart.

After careful consideration, Sang Mi ultimately didn't want to make herself look too pathetic, so she had the good sense to leave first.

To forget the bitter love still lodged in her heart, she took her friends' advice and went traveling to clear her mind.

Sang Mi rented a guesthouse by the sea.

At last, she no longer had to worry about Xia Shiyu's cat allergy, and got the cat she had wanted for ages.

The sea was beautiful, and the pretty older girl next door was good at photography. She was always dressing Sang Mi up and taking her to the beach for photos.

Gradually, at some point, Sang Mi suddenly realized that the girl taking her pictures had begun to seep into every corner of her life.

Meanwhile, Xia Shiyu was frantically searching everywhere for any trace of Sang Mi.

She regretted it.

Only after the fact did she realize just how much she loved Sang Mi.
