I Transmigrated Into a Book With My Nemesis and Became a Sickly Beauty [Doomsday]

Jiang Beiyi, the school bully, transmigrated into a book. Not only had he become a sickly beauty who couldn't lift a finger, but the story was set in an apocalypse where supplies were scarce and the strong ruled.

When he learned that his nemesis, Yan Zhuochen, had transmigrated too, and ended up with a much better position than him, Jiang Beiyi scoffed. "Hmph, he's just the villainous BOSS, right?"

He refused to accept his fate, convinced he could make it to the top through his own efforts. But in two days, he went through four jobs, fainted six times after standing for three hours, and found himself surrounded by people watching him like hawks.

To save his own skin, he had no choice but to drag his sickly self to his nemesis's door and knock.

The next day, word got around that Yan Zhuochen, the leader of the Zhongzhou Base and a 3S-level esper, had been latched onto by a useless pretty boy with no sense of self-preservation.

Everyone laughed at Jiang Beiyi for courting death. But after a while, the rumors grew more and more outrageous.

Someone saw the base leader sitting by the bed, personally bringing over soup and medicine.

The sickly, black-haired beauty looked ready to cry, yet no matter how long the man coaxed him, he refused to take a single spoonful.

From then on, everyone knew that the sickly beauty Jiang Beiyi had hitched himself to the base leader.

In reality:

Jiang Beiyi gazed at the bowl and sighed. "We're both from the same place. I'm not a donkey, so you can't make me drink water every day. Do you have ice cream? I'm about to die. I just want one old-fashioned popsicle before I go."

"Open your mouth." Yan Zhuochen refused coldly, shoving the spoon insistently toward his lips.

No one believed that the usually cold and aloof leader of the Zhongzhou Base would pamper a useless pretty boy. Everyone waited for news of Jiang Beiyi being dumped, but in the end, they only saw the sickly beauty's position grow more and more secure.

As a matter of fact, Yan Zhuochen had arrived in the apocalypse ten years ago.

Time had blurred everything, and he often wondered whether the world he remembered had ever existed, until Jiang Beiyi appeared before him with a familiar smile.

Holding the person he'd once loved from afar, someone who had seemed forever out of reach, Yan Zhuochen suddenly felt that coming here might not be so bad after all.

Note:

A sweet, goofy short story for a change of pace.

Goofy shou. The protagonists' names may be adjusted before the story begins.

The setting combines a slight Lovecraftian feel, a wasteland, and supernatural abilities.
