The strange tension between him and Lin Yuan made Du Linyi increasingly restless. He secretly brought him medicine and watched him from afar. He also began to miss that intoxicating night.

Later, the two entered into a brief sexual relationship.

During a holiday at home, Qin Man told Du Linyi he would be meeting an old friend. At dinner, he saw Lin Yuan sitting quietly in a corner, wearing a high-necked shirt that just barely covered the hickey on the side of his neck.

According to the contract, Jian Xinchou could continue being the all-powerful heir of the Jian family in public, while Qiu Shi stayed at the Jian home and dealt with the whole family for him, including fulfilling his marital duties with Pei Lingchu.

Jian Xinchou agreed.

After that, almost every time he returned to the home he shared with Pei Lingchu, he could hear noises coming from Pei Lingchu's room. His emotions shifted from calm indifference to sleepless nights.

Because he discovered that every sensation Qiu Shi felt with Pei Lingchu was transmitted to him, exactly as it was.

Jian Xinchou grew more and more opposed to Qiu Shi's presence. He wanted Qiu Shi to disappear from this world for good.

Later, he accidentally entered Qiu Shi's forbidden room and saw a long-haired man lying on the bed, his body covered in tubes.

When he looked closer, the man's face was unmistakably Pei Lingchu's.
