He Forgot Me at the Very Moment He Loved Me Most

Cui Shiru forgot Wen Xu at the moment they were closest.

It was an ambiguous, rainy night. Wen Xu would remember for the rest of his life the sudden fear and coldness in Cui Shiru's eyes.

Strangely, Cui Shiru remembered everything else. He remembered that he and Wen Xu had once been close friends, and that he had been devoted to his first love as a young man. Yet he alone couldn't remember how he had later fallen deeply in love with Wen Xu, or how sincerely and earnestly he had tried to keep him by his side.

Cui Shiru looked at Wen Xu, picked up the clothes scattered on the floor, and fled.

The two lived in a detached house. They seemed to treat each other with courtesy and get along harmoniously, but only Wen Xu knew there was a gulf between him and Cui Shiru. Cui Shiru was even more distant toward him than when they had first met in their first year of high school.

He no longer shared a room with Wen Xu. Once, he had cherished him like a treasure and wanted to be glued to his side every moment. Now, even when working overtime, he wouldn't call home, and he often made excuses to spend the night at the office.

Wen Xu tried, little by little, to bring Cui Shiru back. He didn't ask him to regain his memories, only to love him even a tenth as much as before.

He didn't want to lose such a wonderful Cui Shiru.

In the end, Cui Shiru gradually drew closer to him and came to love him more than a tenth as much as before. But by then, Wen Xu could no longer hold on.

It was an utterly ordinary night. After agreeing to go to Finland with Cui Shiru, Wen Xu leaped from a high-rise.

After Wen Xu died, Cui Shiru regained his memories. He spent night after night getting drunk in front of Wen Xu's grave. When he opened his eyes again, he was back in his final year of high school.

He got to know Wen Xu all over again, and discovered many of Wen Xu's secrets.

He had been given a chance to start over, and this time he would make the most of it.

Reader's Guide:

The first half takes place in the previous life; the second half follows him after he is reborn.

A story of redemption, with a happy ending.

The first half may focus more on the bottom's point of view, while the second half may focus more on the top's.

Both are sexually inexperienced.

I like this pairing, so I wrote this for my own enjoyment.

Thanks for reading. Feel free to stay or go.
