The Biggest Scapegoat in the Cultivation World

Yes, believe it or not, this is what the very first version looked like.

Blurb:

As a villainess who only has to keep up her persona and throw her weight around now and then, this should have been a good deal. The System told her that after completing nine missions, she could enjoy a free and easy new life in this world.

Originally, Su Qian was a passionate girl with a light in her heart, devoted to liberation and willing to give up anything for freedom.

But! Despite doing good deeds in her past life and standing up for the helpless, she was so unlucky that in the end she just wanted to lie flat and become a dried, golden-brown salted fish.

She, Su Qian, a textbook villainess.

Her very first mission is to drug the male lead!

But the next day, rumors spread throughout the entire sect that she and the male lead are having an affair?

Su Qian: Slowly types a question mark.

She, Su Qian, a villainess who has to pass performance reviews.

She clearly does every wicked thing imaginable, but the plot keeps heading in an unbelievable direction.

Her bullying is taken for tsundere behavior, her threats are mistaken for flirting, and somehow she becomes the sect's darling.

Su Qian: Slowly types dozens of question marks.

She, Su Qian, a perpetually unlucky villainess.

She's either having bad luck or on her way to having bad luck. Is this the collapse of the fictional world, or the moral decline of the author?

Su Qian: Slowly types 10,086 question marks.

As Su Qian nears the completion of all her missions, her days gradually settle into a routine. All she does each day is tease the little fox she once picked up on a whim. She assumes things will carry on like this, but one day the male lead shows up in front of her, tipsy and red-eyed, and asks softly, looking pitiful, "Could you maybe like me...?"

She flees the sect that very night.
