2. There are no other relatives. They raise a little dog and seven chicks. The story starts at the Awakening of Insects and ends at the next year's Awakening of Insects. Each volume covers one solar term, and it's simply the little everyday life of two people as they go through all twenty-four solar terms together.
3. Mr. Yan spoils Yuan Xi terribly. He does all the laundry and cooking at home, and Yuan Xi is so doted on that he sometimes gets carried away and pushes his luck.
4. Mr. Yan is awkward, has a frosty face, and is intensely shy around people. Yuan Xi has his own little flaws, too. They heal each other and gradually change.
5. Set in the southern country, at the foot of Huishou Mountain, beside Lanxi Creek, in Ping'an Village.
The local customs are simple, class distinctions aren't clear-cut, and people are free to marry whom they like. It's somewhat utopian, so please forgive any parts of the story that don't make sense (sheepish finger hearts) (another finger heart) (bows in thanks).
