Yuhua Xianxia has just gotten into university.
His wish: to coast through life and do nothing.
Then a friend recommended a game to him and pulled him into a related game group.
His greatest daily pleasure changed from comfortably getting through the day to logging into the game.
He could spend half a day looking at the scenery, listening to music, and occasionally fighting monsters.
Double-digit damage didn't matter. Comfort was what mattered most.
So he piled up a bunch of quests.
Not having any Primogems wasn't a big deal either. A slacker, of course, should be free to slack off as he pleases.
He hadn't touched either the limited or standard banner. He wandered around Teyvat with the Razor and Bennett he got from the System's twenty free pulls.
When his health ran low, he ran to a Statue of The Seven. When the statue ran out of health, he went to catch pigeons.
Until his friend posted about his behavior in the game group to complain.
[Why doesn't he spend his Resin?! He only remembers to clear it once every few weeks!!]
[He doesn't even do his daily commissions!!!]
[And he doesn't pull for characters!! He doesn't do events either!! He doesn't farm artifacts! He spends every day chipping away at enemies with damage in the dozens!! I offered to carry him on my alt account and he even turned me down!!]
The last line came with an especially aggrieved reaction image.
Most of the replies said their blood pressure was through the roof.
One person even asked his friend to share his ID so they could give him a try.
Yuhua Xianxia, reading this: ...I don't get it.
Until one day, just as he was about to make himself a deluxe bowl of instant noodles, a cute little girl's voice suddenly appeared.
[Hello, hello! Can you hear me, Traveler? It's Paimon!]
[The resentment of the other Travelers has gathered and is disrupting Teyvat. We need you to go to another world and dispel it!]
[Brave Traveler, get ready!]
And then.
He blinked and arrived in a new world.
He was still holding his freshly made bowl of instant noodles, face-to-face with a group of big guys in black.
"Um, do you want some? There's ham and eggs."
The guys across from him didn't listen. The leader even threatened him.
Yuhua Xianxia silently took a bite of noodles, then felt in his pocket and discovered his phone had come with him too.
[Your journey to another world has begun! Traveler, please draw the first character who will accompany you!]
The little girl's voice appeared again.
A screen floated before his eyes. The interface only had the Wanderlust Invocation banner, plus buttons in the bottom right for a single pull and a ten-pull.
In a moment of crisis, he tentatively pressed the ten-pull button.
A dazzling golden light swept across the screen.
Skip.
A red, very hot... man.
Behind him was a huge fiery-red bird.
And then.
Yuhua Xianxia fell silent, then suddenly felt someone patting his shoulder. A cool, magnetic voice said,
"Move aside."
He turned around and saw a red, very hot man.
???
The noodles spilled out of Yuhua Xianxia's hands!
[First story: A Home in Yueguan City. Key character: The Dark Knight.]
Note!!:
These are a series of short stories!!
The focus is on plot and interactions.
In this story, the protagonist is "Aether/Lumine," the Traveler who meets them. They are counterparts to each other, not replacements or transformations of anyone.
There are a hundred Hamlets in a hundred people's eyes, so some OOC is inevitable.
Characters from other anime may appear as NPCs, but they won't have much interaction with them.
Theme: There is no lighthouse on the road ahead.
