[Crossover] The Evil God Conquers the World with Cuteness

* A short story.

The Evil God is one of the principal gods of a higher-dimensional world.

While every other being around him gave themselves over to a life of debauchery, he sat on his throne, dressed in a voluminous black cloak and with his face wrapped in bandages, day after day carving stone.

Until one day, the god who governed the laws of the world discovered a loophole.

The Evil God wasn't called evil because of the bloodshed he had caused. On the contrary, he had never shed a drop of blood.

He had simply absorbed every sin from those who repented, taking it all upon himself.

Those people would live their entire lives in safety, free from illness and disaster.

The consequence was that the Evil God's mind would eventually break.

So the other three principal gods sent him to a lower-dimensional world. He could return once he had expunged those sins.

The Evil God's name was Zishu.

He had only one two-syllable surname.

He became a cat, staying by the side of every person stained by darkness and despair. He shared their life and death, and spent their remaining years with them, soul to soul.

A boy whose entire family was slaughtered by demons.

A student trapped in a curse and unable to control himself.

A young man who had lost his closest friend.

An adult who kept trying to drown himself.

An office worker whose ideals had been shattered.

Zishu's mission was to make them regret the lives they had lived.
