[Complete, goofy and lighthearted. You can read it even if you haven't read the original. Thanks for your support~ Love you!] [P.S. I've enabled paragraph comments, so give them a try~] My name is Cookie Morrow, an utterly ordinary bank clerk. But even someone as ordinary as me has a boyfriend all my female coworkers envy. He's handsome, gentle and considerate, and incredibly knowledgeable, like a young nobleman who's stepped out of an oil painting. Everyone says I'm Cinderella, chosen by a prince, and that I've used up all my luck in life on him. But only I know the prince didn't choose me. He chose... “Cookie, here's a pretty good book. Want to read it?” My boyfriend held up a book called *The Bandit's Secret Manual* and smiled at me. Well, the “prince” is coveting my Nen abilities again today. Green Jinjiang Forum: [Late-night vent: I've had a weird feeling about my boyfriend lately. Am I just overthinking it?] Original poster: So, my boyfriend keeps asking me strange questions lately. He asks if I know about Nen, but I searched online for ages and still have no idea what “Nen” is. Original poster: Oh, and one more thing: whenever he asks me, he's holding that book of his, *The Bandit's Secret Manual*, and asking if I want to read it. What does that have to do with Nen? Goofy netizen 1: Before I clicked, I thought this was about some cheating jerk and came in to offer comfort. But after clicking... what a coincidence, the Phantom Troupe leader is my boyfriend too. Goofy netizen 2: What a coincidence, my ex liked reading *The Bandit's Secret Manual* too. Helpful netizen 3: Holy crap, it's the Troupe! Run, OP! Cookie had a novel app suddenly appear on her phone. It wasn't until she posted a vent on it one day that she found out the truth: Her boyfriend was actually the leader of the Phantom Troupe, a popular villain from a manga! Original poster: What should I do? Is it too late to break up with him now? Helpful netizen 4: If you've already done it, then break up. No loss. The next day, at the Troupe's hideout: Troupe member 1: Boss, did you take care of that woman? Troupe member 2: How could the boss fail? He must've already gotten her Nen, right, boss? The boss, who had just been dumped: ... * Advance notice for a novel with a similar theme: *Reborn as the Cook in an Assassin Clan* I got a job as a cook for an assassin clan. The pay is great, the work is easy, and my employer is easy on the eyes. Everything's perfect, except this family's a little unusual. On my first day, my employer gave me a maid outfit and said it was my uniform. On my second day, my employer gave me a bottle of poison and said to put it in the food every day. Me: 0 .0 Do I put it in everyone's food? Employer: Everyone's. On my third day, my employer came back and said I hadn't added enough poison, so the family hadn't enjoyed their meal. Me: ... Holding the bottle of poison, I began to question my life. Could it be that it improves the flavor? Then I'll add a little more. Everyone knows how terrifying the foremost assassin clan is, but no one knows what truly makes them so frightening. That is, until one day they saw a cute cook in a maid outfit casually take down a ferocious beast several times her height with a frying pan, then drag it into her little kitchen. No wonder they're an assassin clan. Even their cook is this formidable! But people don't know that this cute cook from the assassin clan is the real terror. No one can beat her “dark” cuisine. * Complete novel from next door: *How to Lay Low Like a Detective, Taught by a Real Booze* Theme: Love and peace
