Blurb:

While in college, Kusuko Saiki played a game called Dating a Divine Visionary.

In the game, she was childhood friends with Rayne Ames,

and every day she was blinded by his brilliance (narcissism).

He often got so caught up staring at himself in the mirror that he couldn't move, praising himself as the greatest masterpiece of humanity.

Watching the narcissistic Rayne, Kusuko really wanted to quit the game.

What finally made her decide to quit was Rayne's sudden proposal.

When she opened the door, Kusuko was so overwhelmed by the flowers filling the room that she didn't know what to do.

Hearing Rayne's proposal, Kusuko finally realized she was playing a romance game. This was bad. After watching Rayne's narcissism for so long, she'd thought her role in the game was to make sarcastic comments.

And also...

They hadn't even been dating, had they?

Kusuko didn't remember getting a notification from the romance game that she'd entered a relationship. So why was he suddenly proposing?

Was this some buggy piece of garbage?

Exhausted, Kusuko looked at the dazzling Rayne and simply chose to quit the game.

Then she transmigrated into the game.

Surrounded by the scent of flowers, Kusuko stared at Rayne, who was eagerly proposing to her, and fell silent.

So what exactly was going on?

Rayne Ames hadn't expected his dazzling proposal to earn him a petrification spell from his childhood friend, and one that lasted a whole day, at that.

After the spell wore off, he was about to ask her what had happened when he saw her put on glasses, with two devices also appearing on her head.

His worry outweighed his earlier confusion, so Rayne asked about her health. In response, he got the spoiler that his childhood friend had come from another world and that he was actually a character in a romance game.

[I don't remember us ever dating, so why are you proposing?]

Rayne discovered that his childhood friend was extraordinary enough to communicate telepathically.

[I definitely quit the game.]

At that, Rayne's shining radiance vanished at once.

"Are you going to abandon me?"

[Yeah, because you're too dazzling. You make it impossible for me to be an ordinary person again.]

Rayne Ames was speechless.

Wasn't she the one who was anything but ordinary?

After that, Rayne Ames witnessed many more of his childhood friend's extraordinary abilities.

This was bad. What if his childhood friend was even more dazzling than he was?
