Hey, everyone! Please add my upcoming story, Puppy Eyes, to your reading list. The blurb is at the very end.
Shi Sui had been in love with Zhou Shian for a long time. She knew he often sat by the library window, studying intently, so she started going early every day to sit across from him.
In the first week, Shi Sui greeted Zhou Shian, and her heart pounded so hard she thought it would leap out of her chest.
In the second week, Shi Sui began asking Zhou Shian for help with questions she didn't understand.
In the third week, Shi Sui worked up the nerve to ask for his WeChat.
At the end of the semester, Shi Sui sat across from Zhou Shian, gathered her courage, and asked softly, "Do you want to go see a movie together?"
"I have something to do. I probably can't," Zhou Shian replied coldly.
When she got back, she saw a photo on the school forum of Zhou Shian having coffee with a girl.
Shi Sui's spirits plummeted, and she swore she would never contact Zhou Shian again.
Later, someone happened to spot something in an entry for the college short-film competition. In a library scene, in a corner by the window, a girl was sleeping with her head on her arms. The boy across from her quietly went over, leaned down, and stole a kiss.
Blurb for upcoming story Puppy Eyes:
Shen Sizheng outperformed expectations on the college entrance exam and got into Jiangbei University, one of the top universities in the country.
The Shen family held a banquet to celebrate and specially invited the Shang family. They also planned to discuss the childhood engagement arranged between the two families' children long ago.
Shen Sizheng remembered the younger son of the Shang family, who had skipped two grades as a child, worked so hard it was frightening, and used to call her stupid. She promptly pretended to be ill and skipped the banquet.
*
After starting university, Shen Sizheng filled in for her roommate Feng Lutong in class. There, she spotted an upperclassman two years ahead of her and asked his name. He was Shang Ningzhou.
Shen Sizheng was shocked. Wasn't this her betrothed, and also her childhood nightmare? He was now her senior by two years because he had skipped grades, even though he was three months younger than her.
She hadn't expected him to grow up so handsome. Shen Sizheng was captivated by his vulnerable puppy-dog eyes, which were exactly her type.
She had missed the banquet, but she wasn't going to miss this chance. She would make another move and win him over, no matter what.
*
Shang Ningzhou had recently been pestered by a younger female student. To get rid of her, he said he was engaged to his childhood sweetheart, and that they were in love with each other.
She replied, "I don't mind."
She even seemed happy about it.
She really had no shame.
Shang Ningzhou was furious.
With no other choice, he called Shen Sizheng. "Could you help me ward off this admirer?"
Shen Sizheng said, "Sure, but there's a condition. You have to spend my birthday with me."
Shang Ningzhou agreed.
The moment he saw Miss Shen, Shang Ningzhou was so angry his face turned green. He hadn't expected the younger student to be Miss Shen. She had played him for a fool, so he turned on his heel and stormed off.
*
Shang Ningzhou had always been hardworking and ambitious. At university, he was top of the entire school, devoted to his studies and uninterested in dating. And he certainly didn't want to be with his childhood fiancée, who was lazy, undisciplined, fickle, and had no shame or morals.
Later, Shang Ningzhou still ended up dating her, and they became the kind of couple who would never break up, even if the world ended.
So much for knowing what the future holds.
Shang Ningzhou accepted his fate. He'd probably be stuck with her for the rest of his life.
That was fine by him.

PS: One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's first and only, happy ending
Older woman-younger man romance. The man is three months younger than the woman.
Hardworking, sincere, passionate puppy-like boy x gifted, lazy, carefree, formidable woman
Theme: The world has light, and life has love
The author's text is a bit ambiguous... Was the last secret kiss scene when they were not dating? It feels a bit like harassment... I suggest you change the cause and effect.
Ah, this, I feel like this heroine, um, haha
Is there any sister who can tell me whether it is a double first love? Sisters who mind, please stay away!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am first
What's going on! Suddenly took the initiative!
Ah, I'm sorry for scolding you too early.
Then why didn't the boy reply to the heroine's message before? I'm still a little nervous now.
(??ω??)??
