Cheng Huaibei is forcibly assigned an on-screen pairing, and nervously glances at Song Zhuxi.

While filming a show, she smiles and walks between the members of the "on-screen couple." "I'm not breaking you two up. I'm just joining in."

At a party, someone deliberately spills a glass of wine, staining Song Zhuxi's dress.

Song Zhuxi says coldly, "It's fine. Just pay for it."

Cheng Huaibei walks over.

Song Zhuxi gives a wounded cry. "My dress is dirty. This is my favorite one."

All her pretending is for one purpose: to get him.

When they reunite more than ten years later, Song Zhuxi discovers that Cheng Huaibei still has the little toy bear she gave him all those years ago. It's been kept spotless, just like him, untouched by dust.

They both struggled through the mire. He is warm and bright, while she is covered in mud, sick of the world. So much so that another personality has been living her life for her all along. But after meeting Cheng Huaibei, the self that had been dormant for years begins to wake, and she grows ever more infatuated with, and obsessed with, the world he inhabits.

"Don't even think about running away."

She grabs his collar, wanting to treasure him like a work of art, for herself alone.

One day after they get together, Cheng Huaibei asks Song Zhuxi, as if he already knows the answer, "Am I just something you collect?"

Song Zhuxi is silent for a long while and gives no answer. It's the first time she's ever thought about what Cheng Huaibei really means to her.

Later, Song Zhuxi finds herself trapped in a difficult situation and doesn't want to tarnish his light. But Cheng Huaibei wraps his arms tightly around her waist, his voice low and firm. "I'm not running away, and neither are you."

She doesn't know that for a long time, she has been the only light in his world.

He wants her to keep living in all her dazzling glory.

1. The female lead has a dissociative identity. Her primary personality is somewhat of a schemer. Although there are two personalities, the story focuses mainly on the primary one, with few scenes featuring the other.

2. A healing story. Everything will turn out well in the end.

Early Marriage blurb:

Jiang Yu, the campus heartthrob at the medical university, is coming back to China next week. Her roommate Tao Yue gushes to Xu Nian, "He's so handsome, practically a god! Nian Nian, do you know him?"

Xu Nian nods. "I do. And I'm seeing him next week."

Her roommate stares in shock. "Why?"

Then she notices the little red booklet in Xu Nian's hand, with the words "Marriage Certificate" clearly printed on it. Inside is a photo of Xu Nian and Jiang Yu, the heartthrob who's coming back to China.

Xu Nian says, "To get a divorce."

Xu Nian has had a crush on Jiang Yu for years. The day they registered their marriage, her heart nearly leapt out of her chest.

But she knows Jiang Yu has no feelings for her. He only agreed to a temporary marriage because it was his grandfather's dying wish.

She doesn't want to be with a Jiang Yu who doesn't love her, so she plans to give up.

On the day Jiang Yu returns to China, Xu Nian goes to meet him. They have a farewell meal together, and Xu Nian takes out their marriage certificate and tells him seriously, "Jiang Yu, let's get a divorce."

Jiang Yu lowers his head and falls silent for a while. Xu Nian assumes he agrees.

A little later, Jiang Yu stands and walks over to her. He takes a hair tie off his wrist and uses it to tie up her loose hair.

As Xu Nian stares at him in bewilderment, Jiang Yu's cool, puzzled voice reaches her ears.

"Xu Nian, when did I ever agree to a divorce?"

P.S. They have a crush on each other. Turns out the person I like likes me too.
