When his adoptive father is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Ye Kechen rushes home to Yancheng from a first-tier city. His father's attending physician recommends a specialist who is vacationing in Yancheng.
The specialist looks only about thirty. Ye Kechen cautiously voices his doubts. “Dr. He, the medical resources at a big hospital are better than those in a small city. I'd like to transfer my dad.”
He Qingcen, who works at a major hospital, looks at him knowingly and says calmly, “I don't recommend transferring him.”
So arrogant?!
Ye Kechen turns to the internet to look up He Qingcen's resume. After reading the page that pops up, he falls silent for five minutes.
His adoptive father tells Ye Kechen, “You and Dr. He would make a good match. I just don't know if he's into men like you are.”
Ye Kechen thinks to himself: A man as aloof and accomplished as Dr. He probably wouldn't even notice a woman as beautiful as a celestial maiden, let alone another man.
Later.
Dr. He wraps his arms around him from behind and whispers in his ear, “It's true that even a woman as beautiful as a celestial maiden can't catch my eye, but you can.”
Later still.
Dr. He disappears from his life, without a trace.
When they meet again, the cool, refined Dr. He drops all pretense of dignity and stares at him, grinding his back teeth nearly to dust. “Is he pursuing you?”
Sunshine, straightforward bottom * cool, seductive, elite top
PS: 1. I'm hopeless at writing blurbs. This isn't angsty or melodramatic, just a sweet little romance. A sweet little romance. A sweet little romance.
2. The top is six years older than the bottom. They're each other's only partners, and it has a happy ending. For everything else, see the author's note after Chapter 1.
● My new novel, Forgetting My Husband After a Flash Marriage, is updating now. Blurb below:
That day, Li Feng was on the night shift. He performed two emergency surgeries in a row and treated three patients whose conditions had suddenly worsened. The intense workload left him so exhausted he felt he could drop dead at any moment. Just before his shift ended, he forced himself to make rounds in the VIP ward and check on a well-known business tycoon.
The atmosphere in the room was solemn and oppressive. Two ceramic teacups lay smashed to pieces on the floor. As he finished his rounds and prepared to escape the storm, the tycoon's son glanced at his ID badge and suddenly asked, “Dr. Li, would you marry me?”
Li Feng: ???
The man had an even more imposing presence than the powerful tycoon in the hospital bed. He stood by the window of the VIP ward with his arms crossed, leaning back casually. His handsome, strong-featured face was expressionless, as if he hadn't just asked, “Would you marry me?” but “How much is this cabbage?”
Maybe it was because his mother had once again called to nag him about getting married before he went into the room, or maybe he was simply delirious after working all night. Li Feng's brain short-circuited, and he replied, “Sure!”
After they got their marriage certificates, the man never appeared again. Li Feng's life went on unchanged, and once he got busy, he quickly forgot he was married.
Six months later, a murder took place across the hall, and Li Feng got caught up in the case. Sitting in the interrogation room at the Municipal Public Security Bureau, he thought the man who walked in wearing a police uniform looked vaguely familiar.
The officer taking his statement gestured to Captain Qi: Shall we begin?
Captain Qi looked at Li Feng, his stern face growing even colder. “I'm recusing myself from this case.”
The officer taking his statement: ???
Captain Qi glanced at Li Feng, who clearly didn't remember him, then turned to leave. “I'm his husband!”
The officer taking his statement: !!!
In the surveillance room, the bureau chief looked around at the other officers. “Your captain's husband apparently doesn't recognize him. How exactly did they get married?”
The officers: Our boss is married?
Li Feng looked utterly bewildered. “Wasn't my husband a rich third-generation heir? How did he become a police officer???”

Qi Hengyi vs. Li Feng
PS: In a world where same-sex marriage is legal. They're each other's only partners, and it has a happy ending.

Theme: Live well, and love well.
Crazy batch! If this woman hadn't been so controlling and put her son under house arrest, would the son have escaped on his own and gotten into a car accident? This woman just doesn't want to admit that she lost her son because of her own fault, so she passes the mistake onto others. This woman is so disgusting!
To be honest, hospital mattresses are really not very clean. When I see the protagonist like this, all I can think of are the dried urine, vomit, blood stains and other traces left by n patients on the mattress. It's really dirty.
Isn't this none of Li's business? Wasn't this caused by his mother?
Nice! Super pretty! I really like this kind of writing that unfolds the story slowly and has a little twists and turns to balance it out!! I like a little bit of sweet and sour taste! I also like the story of the deputy CP at the end! The author's wife is so awesome and is here to call you!! Like it! I wish my wife's writing will get better and better!!
I finished watching the ending, but I didn't continue watching because the deputy CP wasn't very interested. The writing is very good and the writing style is also very good. However, I wish there was less emphasis on the use of exclamation points and the impression is not so comfortable. Also, the names of the two people are a bit awkward later on. Thank you, the author, for writing such a good article. Have a wonderful night!! Good night
Why is no one reading such a beautiful novel?
"Iridesc" gave the author a big bug~5
I can't help but say: nerves
