Beyond Forgiveness [Crime Investigation]

Leng Ze and Sheng Yue are both rising stars in the police force in recent years, one in the southeast and the other in the northwest. They've never met, but have heard each other's names and stories countless times. They should have been two parallel lines, but an order of transfer made them colleagues.

Sheng Yue: "What did you say? Leng Ze is being transferred to our team?"

The city police chief looked at the man before him, whose uniform couldn't hide his roguish streak, and twitched at the corner of his eye. "That's right. He's transferring over as your team's deputy captain."

Sheng Yue spun the leader's favorite fountain pen between his fingers. "What did he do wrong? Why was the captain of the criminal investigation team at the D City police bureau demoted to deputy captain in X City?"

The chief glared. "Why are you asking so many questions? You're getting a brilliant deputy. Just be happy about it."

Sheng Yue grinned cheekily. "He's certainly brilliant. If he comes here, our team will probably save a lot on air-conditioning in the summer."

Leng Ze, true to his name, was cold and aloof. He was demoted and sent thousands of miles away to X City, carrying a secret and a mission no one knew about. After his transfer, a series of cases lurking in the shadows of D City and X City slowly came to light.

Sheng Yue's expression turned sour. "Deputy Captain Leng, isn't this too extravagant a welcome gift?"

Leng Ze remained expressionless. "It's fine. A smaller gift wouldn't live up to Captain Sheng's reputation."

Smiling, roguish tiger gong Sheng Yue VS cool, aloof, teasing shou Leng Ze

P.S. All cases, characters, and locations are fictional and not based on anything real. Both are pure. Happy ending.
