*I wanted to write a corruption story, but I didn't want them to actually become murderers, so this idea came to me. The simple, heavy-handed brainwashing is meant to preserve the sense of justice they should have had.
I got my hands on a gacha-style management sim. It's beautifully made, with varied gameplay and an incredibly realistic story. As the distillery's boss, I'm cold, sinister, and utterly heartless, devoted to pursuing eternal life. This is completely at odds with core values!
But that's fine. Does being a chaotic, mischief-loving player in a game conflict with obeying the law in real life? No!
Besides, I'm an insanely lucky player in this game!
My SSR roster is packed. It has Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, Bourbon, Rye, Scotch...
Today, I hit the jackpot: miracles happen with a single pull. I casually drew, golden light flashed, and out came the UR "Conan"!
I'm way too lucky! Did I trade away some of my lifespan for this? Should I stay home today? I'm a little worried something might happen to me.
As it turned out, using your life force for gacha pulls is a real thing. I opened the front door, and a familiar-looking Porsche slowly pulled up. A silver-haired man with hair down to his waist coolly lowered his cap. "Boss, I'm here to pick you up."
Wait?! Who are you?! What did you just call me?!!
I shivered in the swirling snow and wrapped my thin windbreaker tightly around myself.
I'm an excellent all-rounder. I'm kind to friends and family and a team player. But now I'm the boss of the Black Organization, and I'm currently living in Beika Town.
I'm a chaotic, mischief-loving player in a game, killing and burning with abandon, doing every evil imaginable. But my in-game identity has become my real identity. My hardworking true-believer looks utterly loyal, seemingly waiting for me to order him to blow up Tokyo Tower.
Think you can take advantage of me not having memorized Conan? I know the main plot by heart. Tomorrow, I'll go find Shinichi Kudo and join forces with him!
But
Black Conan tilted his head back. "I'll make all the necessary preparations for your plans."
Please, don't do anything! Even if I know your plans inside out, I might not be able to stop you!
Black Bourbon smiled. "The Public Security Bureau hasn't grown suspicious at all. Beyond gathering intelligence, I can do even more for you."
Do what?! Betray your beloved colleagues?! You'll regret this!
Black Rye rested a hand on his gun. "Understood. I'll take the target's life for you."
Don't be so determined! Give me a chance to save them!
The Black Organization's boss remained as mysterious as ever, while a rising star emerged on the Red side, rushing into every dangerous situation and repeatedly sacrificing himself to save others.
The Red side: How moving!
The "rising star" himself: ...Who could have known this game would affect reality? If I don't save some people soon, your own side is going to wipe itself out, do you get that?!

*The protagonist makes plenty of sarcastic remarks, but he's a true all-rounder, on a par with Akai. Otherwise, he couldn't have stopped so many people on the Red side from changing allegiance. So don't worry, there'll be plenty of satisfying moments, haha.
*Featuring a deliciously dark Scarlet team, undercover team, and detective team! I originally wanted to write a cool Black Conan, then realized a little Black Whiskey here and there would be nice too, and in the end...
In short, I won't change their pasts! Even if they're forced to turn dark, they'll return to the Red side and become stars of justice!
*Those who turn dark will come back to the Red side, while those who were already dark will stay that way. The timeline is the first year of Conan, but the Police Academy group, Akemi, and Uncle Hondou will all be saved.
*The secret identities will be revealed voluntarily much later, and everyone will take on the distillery together. The protagonist won't be arrested as the boss.
