Also known as: "If I kill off every 'me,' I can get the happy ending, right?" "Even a cosmic horror being can't withstand the laws of time in a detective story" "Me and the next year I can never reach"
Jiang Qing Su got his hands on a role-playing game. A fan of playing multiple saves, he diligently brought every secret identity to life. Unfortunately, the developers were cruel: they'd give him hints when he was in danger, but refused to reveal the full backstories of his secret identities.
His red-side identities were trusted by everyone and showered with praise, while his black-side identities were elusive and kept climbing the ranks. Jiang Qing Su soon lost interest and quit.
The next day, the game released a DLC featuring a limited-time switch between red and black. He was instantly hooked.
When he entered the game and opened his eyes, the seemingly righteous police officer tore off his mask and laughed wildly atop a sea of flames, tears glinting in his eyes. The seemingly cold organization executive was exposed and subjected to a harsh interrogation deep underground, then silently reduced to bones.
Jiang Qing Su: Eyes wide in shock. How did transmigration happen all of a sudden?
The player who treated the game as a playground had become part of its story. This time, the predetermined ending had yet to arrive.
Objective: Make the entire cast die (survive).
A new flower shop opened in Beika Town. The owner was always late or leaving early, was nowhere to be found half the time, and was entangled with powerful figures from every side.
The organization's executives sneered at his photo. Veteran police officers frowned as they watched him walk away. A taciturn high school detective was considerate yet distant toward him. A disturbingly consistent organization member kept him at arm's length, then drew close again...
Jiang Qing Su, going to great lengths to raise everyone's affection level: Innocent.jpg
What could he do? He had to get the affection level to its highest point to unlock the secret identity retrieval feature. What had the weak, pitiful, uninvolved shopkeeper done wrong? He was simply unlucky, and wanted to uncover the truth.
*The real person is the shopkeeper, Jiang Qing Su. Everyone in the blurb is a secret identity. The secret identities will appear and leave one by one, and they may stab one another to maintain their personas. All black-side secret identities will definitely be taken off the board; what happens to the rest depends.
*Retrieving a secret identity means the identity dies and the soul originally assigned to it is reclaimed. The protagonist might end up with multiple personalities in theory (really, I just don't want anyone to die. They're all the protagonist anyway).
*The protagonist's identity has a tiny bit of cosmic horror flavor, mostly as background. Whether you like cosmic horror won't affect your enjoyment.
*Everyone's relationships are platonic. The only romance is with himself (just a little, and more like an obsession).
*The truth will be revealed in the ending or an extra chapter. No public humiliation, I just hope everyone can avoid getting hurt!
*At this point, you can probably tell how fixated I am on a happy ending. The main story may be angsty, but the ending will be perfect! Of course everyone gets saved.
*If you have a lot of content warnings you'd like to check, ask in the comments in case I missed anything.
