[Reborn!] Sunshower

Synopsis:

In the third year after Toyama Airi developed ALS and lost the ability to move, a full-dive game called Heart-Pounding Mafia Love was released. To let Toyama Airi experience the feeling of moving again, her family bought her a game pod so she could experience life in the game.

Toyama Airi had no expectations for virtual romance. She just wanted to feel what it was like to run one more time. But less than three minutes after entering the game, she was hit in the head by a baseball that came flying from far away. Not only did she lose her memory, but the game's main system went offline, too.

Toyama Airi had completely forgotten who she was. The culprit, Yamamoto Takeshi, took her home, and somehow she became his childhood friend and classmate. They spent their middle school years together, went on to high school, and finally, on the day they graduated, Yamamoto confessed his feelings to her.

At the very moment Yamamoto finished confessing, a mechanical voice suddenly rang out in Toyama Airi's mind. [Beep. System malfunction repaired. An abnormality has been detected in the player's body. The player is not fit to continue the game. Forced logout initiated.]

Toyama Airi: ????

Before Airi could answer Yamamoto Takeshi, she was forcibly logged out. Just before losing consciousness, she saw Yamamoto Takeshi's stunned, panicked expression...
