After school started, Xia Xingli was forced to sit with Xu Minglan. She got to see his charm up close. A different person confessed to him every day, and he received so many love letters and gifts he could barely hold them all, yet he remained unmoved.

To get through high school in peace, Xia Xingli had no choice but to rely on Young Master Xu's influence. Before long, she became his little sidekick.

On a damp, rainy night, the man held her captive in his arms. His eyes reddened, and his cold voice was restrained and tight with emotion. "Xia Xingli, how dare you show your face? Do you remember what you did?"

Xia Xingli said, "I was young and foolish. It was just a fling. Why take it seriously, Mr. Xu?"

The man laughed in anger and called her by name. "I'll let you keep playing."

Outside, rain poured down. Xia Xingli's voice was perfectly calm. "I don't take out the trash."
