Come Here and Give Me a Kiss

The unruly, sunny, yet obsessively lovestruck Yu Jinyi VS the mature, reserved, easily flustered Jin Ruoli Yu Jinyi was a handful. Jin Ruoli realized that when Yu Jinyi was eight. Of course, Yu Jinyi didn't cling to just anyone. All her tantrums and theatrics were simply because she wanted to move in with Jin Ruoli. Time and again, Jin Ruoli would open her front door to find Yu Jinyi sitting in the living room with a suitcase, and time and again, she would take her back home. Yu Jinyi's response was always: "Before my mom died, she entrusted me to you. Is this how you take care of me?" Jin Ruoli: "Your mom never said you could move into someone else's house before you were an adult." Yu Jinyi teased her with a grin: "You're so afraid to sleep with me. Could it be that you have improper thoughts about me?" As if to prove her wrong, Jin Ruoli could only give in beneath her sly smile. "You can stay for one night." * Their seemingly harmonious relationship lasted until Yu Jinyi came home one night covered in injuries. In a way, she was lucky to have been hurt. At last, Yu Jinyi could live in the safe haven where Jin Ruoli was, with a clear conscience. Jin Ruoli began protecting her without limits. Every day after school, Yu Jinyi would see Jin Ruoli beneath the streetlamp by the school gates, home from work with her hair half undone, raising an eyebrow and smiling at her. Jin Ruoli said, "Study hard at school. If anyone picks on you, tell me. I'm eight years older than you, so I can protect you." * When she was eighteen, Yu Jinyi had Jin Ruoli tattoo a string of characters on the side of her index finger. Yu Jinyi told her, "It means savior." "Jin Ruoli, please give me a home. Like when you were twenty-five and carried me through town, then stole a kiss on my cheek." Theme: Growing old together
