[The Outcast] A Two-Player Game

After getting out of prison, Lin Jingzhe had finally found a job, only to lose it all in one fell swoop by “doing the right thing.” Her boss told her to pack up and get lost. Now out on the streets, Lin Jingzhe seriously considered whether to turn left and report her unscrupulous boss to the labor bureau, or turn right and head to the police station to scrounge a meal. At this crucial crossroads in her life, she received charity from a pervert who was prettier than any woman. He said, “Would you give me your eyes?” Lin Jingzhe rejected his proposal, fished twenty yuan out of a pile of money, and read his fortune. She declared that he was doomed to be alone, that his life would be full of misfortune, and advised him to do more good deeds and get lost as soon as possible. But the pervert kept pursuing her. After it happened several times, Lin Jingzhe realized that this guy was treating her like a joke. Looking at the pervert who had just set a mountain on fire and lit up the daytime with fireworks, she felt she was a disgrace to all members of Quanzhen. She said, “You can play games by yourself. Why do you have to drag me into it?” After thinking for a long time, the pervert gave Lin Jingzhe an answer she never expected. He said, “Maybe… I like you?” Lin Jingzhe stared blankly at the pervert’s beautiful, androgynous face. She thought that six years of reform through labor had somehow turned her into a sage who could not be corrupted by wealth, moved by poverty, or subdued by beauty. What a happy occasion.
