The One Everyone Hated Was Raised by the Grim Reaper

Lu Xiaoyu has a secret: he can see things other people can't. On roads, in hospitals, in kindergartens... whenever a slender figure in a black cloak carrying a silver scythe appears, someone closes their eyes forever. On a snowy night, Lu Xiaoyu's adoptive parents threw cold water over him and drove him out. He froze unconscious outside as the black-cloaked figure passed by. Lu Xiaoyu used every last bit of strength to grab the icy edge of his cloak. “Big brother, when will you... come take me away?” He heard a soft sigh. When he woke again, it was already the next day. His hands were empty, and for the first time, his dream had been warm and peaceful. Lu Xiaoyu didn't see him again for a long time. But whenever his mother tried to hit him, her arm would dislocate. Whenever his father kicked him, he'd break a leg. Whenever a classmate tore up his homework, they'd find half a worm in their food... During a downpour, he went out to buy snacks for his little brother and was hit by a car. The rain poured harder and harder, but the black cloak seemed to keep the damp away. He thought the scythe would fall, but a pair of icy hands lifted him up... Lu Xiaoyu, now in his final year of kindergarten, had a new home. The big brother who always wore a black cloak took him to live in a big house. They fed kittens together, he never missed a parent-teacher meeting, and sometimes he even brought Lu Xiaoyu along when he had to work late. Some of the nearby ghosts noticed that the Grim Reaper had a little one by his side these days. The child wore a miniature black cloak, carried a toy scythe, and kept his adorable little face stern. He looked surprisingly convincing. P.S. The romance begins when he's an adult. A cozy, adorable slice of life! Theme: Keep your heart turned toward the light and strive to grow.
