I Wouldn't Be a Moonlight Lover for Anyone

Chu Ning transmigrated into a melodramatic novel as the male lead's white moonlight.

The kind who was dead, too.

In the novel, she took in the injured, amnesiac male lead out of kindness and cared for him devotedly. But he fell in love with her, and later imprisoned and tortured her, until she finally ended her life by suicide.

The story was now at the point where she'd just brought the male lead home.

Looking at the male lead, covered in injuries and lying on the bed with a pitiful expression, Chu Ning's eyes reddened. In full drama-queen mode, she cried, "Son, you're finally awake!"

Male lead: ?

.

After becoming the male lead's stepmom, Chu Ning did everything she could to make him hate her.

Once the male lead could walk, Chu Ning hid all the black cards, designer bags, and lipstick in the house. Then she looked at him tearfully. "Son, we're completely broke. From now on, Mom's counting on you!"

Once the male lead had fully recovered, Chu Ning showed him a flyer. "Bricklaying pays eighty yuan an hour. That's 1,920 a day and 57,900 a month. Son, Mom's counting on you!"

When the male lead came home from work, Chu Ning wiped her mouth after finishing lobster and abalone, then set a bowl of burnt food in front of him. "You need to eat after work. Go on, eat up. Mom's counting on you from now on."

A few months later, the male lead recovered his memories. Chu Ning quickly packed her things and ran back to her five-hundred-square-meter villa.

She'd thought that acting this way would make the male lead hate her and let her escape her death ending.

But then...

On an open-air balcony, the refined yet unruly man pinned the woman in a red dress against the wall.

Qi Yu looked at the alluring woman before him, his gaze darkening as he rasped, "Didn't you say you'd be counting on me from now on, Mom?"

Chu Ning: Help, help... me!

Theme: Live well and keep moving forward.
