The Young Lord Rides a Bamboo Horse [Dream of the Red Chamber]

[Advance Notice Screenshotted]

Childhood friends, innocent and carefree.

A precious bond, an everlasting memory.

Daiyu had a childhood friend like that.

But her childhood friend, despite being born into the distinguished scholarly He family of Yangzhou, was unruly, domineering, and rebellious.

Daiyu: Sigh, let's not even talk about it...

Before he turned nine, He Yu had two favorite pastimes: getting into fights and beating people up, and chasing after the censor's daughter every day, affectionately calling her "Sister Lin."

Daiyu's daily life consisted of keeping her childhood friend in line and cleaning up his messes.

Then, on the final day before she left for the capital, the chubby little He Yu suddenly became well-mannered and stubbornly demanded an answer from her:

"Sister Lin, is the capital really that wonderful?"

Daiyu, who had lost her mother, shook her head through her tears. The boy clenched his fists and declared solemnly, "I understand. Just wait for me. I'll definitely bring you back."

At the time, Lin Daiyu thought her being sent to the Rongguo Mansion was merely a brief childhood encounter.

Who could have guessed that one day, the newly appointed top scholar would actually ride up to the Rongguo Mansion on a fine horse, holding the marriage contracts between their families and coming to snatch her away...
