The Taotie Cub Is Forced to Work [Gourmet]

Gao Taotao was an orphan at a suburban orphanage. When she was three, a handsome young man dressed all in white came to the orphanage and said he wanted to take care of her. Taotao blinked her bright, lively eyes. "And why should you get to take care of me just because you say so? I don't want anyone taking care of me!" The handsome man smiled warmly, but didn't answer her. Instead, he began listing dishes: "Shrimp with jade ribbons, braised prawns, mapo tofu, diced chicken with chili, pork belly with preserved mustard greens, pork ribs in red rice wine, West Lake vinegar fish, Longjing shrimp..." When he reached the eighty-first dish, Taotao leaped down from the orphanage's crumbling wall. "Let's go. I'll go with you. From now on, my life is yours!" The young man in white took Taotao to the liveliest old street in Fengzhen and opened a snack shop called The Taotie Kitchen. Taotao raised her hand in protest. "The first two characters are too hard. I can't write them!" The young man in white said, "We're having Dongpo pork tonight!" Taotao replied, "I'll write them! Get me paper and a brush right now. I'll practice them a hundred and eight times!" By the time Gao Taotao turned eighteen, she had grown into a beautiful, bold young woman. Talent scouts camped outside her house, hoping to recruit her, but Taotao simply shut the front door, tied on an apron, and headed into the kitchen. From everyday home cooking to exquisite delicacies, she could even make long-lost imperial dishes as if she'd been cooking them for years. The handsome young man in white, whose appearance had never changed, handed her the property deed and bankbook. "Taotao, you're all grown up. From now on, you're in charge of this family. Remember your mission: carry on traditional cuisine." Taotao stuffed her mouth with tender, fragrant Dongpo pork and complained mournfully, "What am I supposed to do when you leave? I'll only be able to eat five bowls of rice with braised pork!" The handsome man in white: "..." 1. A greedy little Taotie and the handsome Kitchen God 2. No romance for the female lead until she's an adult 3. Very little romance, lots of food Theme: Carrying on traditional cuisine
